FRIAR’S BUSH ANCIENT CEMETERY TOURS with Cairde na Cille

Graves and Gardens Tour of Botanical Gardens and Friar’s Bush with John Bradbury. Book with Visit Belfast or arriave with £15 per person by 13.45 at latest. Friar’s bush graveyard gates.

Whistlestop Tour £15 Sunday 26 May 14.00 Deirdre Nic an tSionnaigh.

There is a free tour is Irish with harp music performance at 13.00! (Sponsored by Foras Na Gaeilge) Early booking recommended).

Friar’s Bush Ancient Graveyard Tour – Whistlestop Tour

Friars Bush is located at 6 Stranmillis Road Belfast beside the Ulster Museum, a short walk or bus journey from the city centre. Arrive 10-15 minutes before your tour with sturdy walking shoes, rain-gear (macs, hoods and brollies as tour goes ahead rain or shine!) Torches are necessary for evening tours or dim light. Sun-cream, water  and sunhat  recommended in summer. The ground is uneven so may be unsuitable for wheelchairs/rollators. Photos can be taken but not recordings of performances (GDPR).

We do not receive any public funding yet  towards our tours so unfortunately can not offer discounts. Cancellations, refunds etc or changed bookings only upon receipt of medical evidence.

Cairde na Cille volunteers are working  on an on-going basis during week and weekends to restore this ancient cemetery so additional donations are welcome for this worthwhile cause.(Link on our landing page).

Children over 10 are welcome if supervised.
