We are seeking an endorsement from you, or your organisation, for our proposal to restore Friars Bush graveyard and gate lodge to create a heritage and education centre for the local community and visitors.
We are Cairde na Cille, a Community Interest Company, and we have developed a project to unlock the hidden heritage and history of this site. This spans Pagan, Early Christian, Penal Times, the Great Famine and beyond. This neglected site would be sensitively restored and, through engaging tours and creative events, opened for appreciation all year-round.
